Counter rotation is what a non-posi differential will do if the pinion  shaft 
or transmission isn't able to rotate.  Do you have access to a  meduim-sized 
tractor with a front loader or something else that can lift half a  car?  
Connect each end of a heavy chain to each lower control arm,  place a 4x4 under 
the skid plate, and lift the car.  Use the tractor to  lift and move the car.  I 
have used my backhoe for this.  I have also  done the same thing with the 
overhead trolly/chainfall that's attached to the  ceiling in my garage.  Lift 
rear of car, move trailer out from under  it.  Thing big!
