You're only saving for the duration of one tankful. I don't think it is
worth driving all over to save a buck or two (total) ... The prices
will continue to rise until the oil companies find the level above which
people just flat will not buy gasoline... then it will stabilize. It's
gouging, but the gov't isn't going to do anything about it (can you say
"taxes"?).. Otherwise, how do they justify raising the prices on
something that has been in the tank for a week or two?? I have started
driving my '65 Monza (without AC) to work instead of my 2005 F150..
25mpg beats 15mpg ...
