<VV> Head Gaskets...

I have talked with several folks indicating high cr engines have longevity 
issues with the steel or copper "big bore" gaskets.  Jon Brakke and I 
discussed this and noticed slight leakage on the very high performance 
engines he built and I built for the 89.  I believe the drag racers with the 
really high performance engines probably tear them down between events. 
Porsche, when air cooled, used several different versions of gaskets.

What is the lastest technology and thinking re head gaskets for our cars?
