<VV> Corvair clutch diagnostic puzzle

Just a quick post to let everyone know I got my broken bolt (transmission to mounting bracket bolt) out of my daughter's Spyder transmission (attacked it from the back with a drill bit in a dremel just enough to take a tiny screwdriver to it to get it turned enough to get the threads poking out, then used pliers to turn it out).  Replaced it with a new Grade 8 bolt and got everything back together working well today.

PS, everything else checked out OK (pedal welds, cross shaft welds, etc)
