A Corvair is a Chevrolet....is a  4 stroke engine.....is a 2 valve per 
cylinder engine...

Has rings.....burns gasoline....uses Rochecter carbs...

If he's a mechanic...not a technician.....he'll be able to diagnose the 
problems...
