<VV> Corvair Roundup

The Roundup is turning out to be a great success.  There are 41 entries and over 60 signed up for the banquet. Steve Goodman drove in from Denver and Bob Bauer brought his beautiful '66 Corsa Turbo convert in from near St. Louis.  We are expecting a few more drop-ins tomorrow.  There are 12 cars signed up for the Concours which Don Wagner is running for us.

A hotel parking lot with Corvairs everywhere is a sight that Wichita has not seen for many a year, if ever. Coleman and Pep Boys provided some fantastic door prizes. Saturday there is Concours and a Participants Choice Car shows, the valve cover races, a tour to my shop where there will be a couple of techinical talks.  Then back to the host hotel for the banquet and awards and some autocrossing on Sunday.

Gary More( a VV lurker) used up a band saw making a fantastic cut away Corvair engine, which is displayed in front of a wall of enlarged vintage Corvair ads topped by a neon Corvair sign.
