Are you sure its the gauge (well if there is a hole where it is supposed to 
be then probably) ? The sender is a more common failure point - just redid 
mine.

If it is reading E alla time try unplugging the wire on the tank (behind 
the front right wheel). If it goes to F when you turn the key one, the 
float isn't.
