Sunday there was a show on about the Zodiac killer in CA, back in 1968 or 69
he killed a cabbie, there was a pretty gruesome picture of the cab door open
with the victim hanging out, in the background of that shot was an Early
Corvair.
Top that !!

Subject: <VV> Corvairs on TV?

I remember Corvairs appearing twice. I'm talking
about a star of a show actually driving one, not just
something parked at the curb, in the background.

1) "Bewitched." You'd have to be pretty naive not to
realize that Chevrolet was the main sponsor of this
show. I remember Darren Stevens briefly driving both
an early and late convertible.

2) "Police Squad." This hilarious parody once did a
spoof of the film, "The French Connection." They
impounded the drug lord's dark brown Continental Mark
III, and tore it apart looking for hidden drugs.
(After it was disassembled, the glove box happened to
pop open, and there's the heroine!). They tried to
put the car back together, but the head of the garage
told Lt. Drebbin, "we've got a few parts left over; I
sure hope he doesn't notice." They pulled the camera
back to show the mechanics putting the final touches
on a dark brown.....'63 Monza coupe!! I fell on the
floor, I was laughing so hard!

Any other TV-show spottings, folks?
