I must finally admit that on occasion, many years ago, I'd call up 
Clarks to order stuff for one of the Vairs and when they answered 
(Cal used to answer his own phone back then) I'd immediately lead off...


"Hi, I got me this American Volkswagon and I need some parts for it."



...never once did I get a rise out of him...
