I'd bet linkage. It's the first choice and the easiest to fix, but you'll
have to do it by the numbers to get it right and be sure it wasn't the problem
if the problem persists. A visual inspection underneath might show something
obvious, but I would recommend a step by step adjustment that could identify
loose or worn parts first. If you can't wait for a manual of your own let us
know. One of us could get the pages to you if necessary (on a weekend only for
me as the weekdays are booked up with making a living). Let us know.
