when using air on fuel systems , be sure to blow only in the direction the 
fuel usually flows, unless it is just the lines, high pressure air will take out 
the fuel pump check valves in most cases.   this applies to almost anything 
you might be trying to clear with air. 
my times with bad gas in my corvairs  always ended up with 
cleaning/rebuilding both carbs and cleaning the tank.
