sure sounds like possible head gasket leak to me..a very smll piece of dirt 
on gasket surface will do that in short order.  i found that a few years ago on 
an engine someone did a fast head r&r  once. they missed a small piece of 
crabon or dirt that printed itself into the gasket then leaked..get the long 
vacum hose out ..one end in your ear , the other near where you think the noise 
is..(be carefull).oh check for loose spark plug also?
