Hi Mike,

May I suggest that you check your bolt nomenclature a little more closely. 
Being careless about this can lead to misinterpreted torque specs and snapped 
bolts or under torqued fasteners. Specifically on page 4-2, you will note that 
the bolt in question is called item 23, Side Gear Yoke Retaining Bolt. Over on 
page 4-26, Fig 66, you will see the Drive Spindle flange and Retaining nut. 
The yoke retaining bolt is part of the differential while the other two items 
are part of the rear suspension/bearing assembly.

Now, are you trying to apply the torque spec for the Drive Spindle Yoke Nut 
to the Yoke Retaining Bolt? Better check your book again.

In fact you will note that there is no spec given for the Yoke Retaining 
Bolt. It should be 30 lb-ft as determined by breakaway torque on several factory 
units.
