A few years ago while at the Chrysler at Carlisle event, a 69 GTX
convertible was stolen right out of the hotel lot where we stayed. This was
a hotel full of car enthusiasts, so they could pick and choose what they
wanted. The hotel was also half a block from the local police station.

Through a lot of press through internet, and an enthusiasts magazine, and
dilligence of the cars owner and his friends, the car was located, in
another state, as well as several others which come from other events and
were being stripped for parts. Unfortunately, due to sloppy work on the
part of the police, the criminal walked.............

Have your name in the paper lately with your car? Did they include your
address? Events are well publicized too, especially those which last for a
few days. If someone wants it bad enough, they will take it!

In some cities they will smash a window to steal change left on a console,
or a cell phone. Use all precautions you can.........
