<VV> Battery Dying Problem (some Corvair)(humor?)

Have him take a look at the alternator regulator.  There is a relay that
picks when you turn on the ignition.  If this sticks and doesn't drop when
you kill the ignition, it'll drain the battery just like you describe. BTDT.
