Hi Gang,

Just a quick note to let you know that my scripts are complete, and I have
begun populating the virtual vair archive forum.

This forum will contain EVERY post from virtual vairs since it's inception.

What does this mean?

It means if you visit the virtual vair archive forum located here:

http://www.virtualcorvairclub.com/forumdisplay.php?f=25


You will be able to perform searches for ANYTHING ever posted to virtual
vairs.

For instance... say you want to find out about spark plugs.  Simply click on
the following link:

http://www.virtualcorvairclub.com/forumdisplay.php?f=25

then click on the "Search this forum" link near the top right hand side of
the page.

type in "spark plug" (if you want the EXACT phrase "spark plug" or type in
spark plug if you want any post that  contains the word spark and the word
plug, and in a manner of seconds, you will have a page with EVERY post to
virtual vairs that contains the word spark plug.

This is true for absolutely anything you care to search for.  If you want to
find every post that Joe West ever did... search for "Joe West" (this
assumes that Joe West put his name in his emails).

There are also advanced search options that allow you to do things like
search for:

"1966 Corsa" AND "turbo"

or

"1966 Corsa" NOT "140"

The search options are virtually unlimited and are incredibly fast... a
search of 30,000 posts will take less than a second on the server that is
running http://www.virtualcorvairclub.com

The true power of this archive will be allowing people in the virtual vair
majordomo to STOP answering the same questions over and over and over...
simply direct the person posting the question to:

I expect to complete roughly 1 year of virtual vairs every couple of days...
and I expect there to be roughly 100,000 posts by the time I'm done next
week.

Everything is ready to go... and although all the posts are not in the
archive, the script is running now and you'll see roughly 100 posts every 30
minutes. 

Spend some time playing with the search engine... (its kind of cool
searching the old posts) and if you run into any problems, please post them
in the problem and suggestion section of the forum located here:

You MUST register for the forum before you can search the archive.  Guests
WILL NOT be allowed to search the forum.
