Speaking of finding previous repairs on convertibles, when I bought my 69 I 
assumed it hadn't been involved in any fender benders. I was wrong as when I 
got it home and started going over it carefully I discovered the evidence. 
While inspecting and cleaning out the trunk I noticed the right front 
"cocktail shaker" had a homemade aluminum bracket on the top connection. I 
thought maybe the original was removed and lost so another one was 
fabricated. As I looked closer I noticed the inner wheel well had no factory 
bracket which told me the wheel well was replaced but with one for a coupe 
which does not have that bracket. None the less it was a decent repair.
