Linoleum has worked very well in my father's garage for about 25
years. For jack stand loads I put some thin plywood under them. The
floor jack hasn't harmed the flooring. I've had Corvair engines and
complete drive trains out several times w/o damage to the flooring.
Easy cleanup.
