<VV> Oil Cooler Seals?

Oil-cooler seals aren't o-rings. They're CYLINDERS. Did you put o-rings in
the oil cooler? If you did, that's your problem.

Subject: <VV> Oil Cooler Seals?

Question first--unrelated details follow.

I changed o-ring seals on my '66 Monza 110, but still
have an oil leak that appears to be trickling down the
left side of the head from the rear of the block above
the #2 cylinder. Is this likely a problem with the
oil cooler seals? Are there other possibilities I
should consider?

If oil cooler seals, is this a vender-only part, or
something I can find locally (simple o-ring?) and get
back on the road with, if only temporarily?

Thanks for any info!

Unrelated details for those with nothing better to
read:

I've been lurking around this list for probably a year
now--you guys are such a great, great source of info
*and* entertainment! Got re-interested in 'vairs when
my mother decided to do *something* with the '68 Monza
that'd been parked behind her house for nearly 20
years (one my grandmother bought new). I trailered it
home, promising to look it over for her (it fired
right up after points, battery, fresh gas--but needs
mechanical updating and total interior/body
restoration)...and while it sat in my driveway, I got
to reminiscing about how fun it was to drive that
thing in college. So I bought a daily driver for
myself last fall. Joined Corsa in December...got a
good start on my Corvair library in the form of
Christmas and birthday gifts...and I'm having the time
of my life piddling with these things again. Now if I
can just find that oil leak...
