Depending on the model year, what you describe is a 110/PG engine.   Seems 
many later 110s behind PGs had the 889 camshaft to drop the torque curve 
down and widen it so as to work better with the somewhat limited capability 
of the 2-speed Powerglide and its stiff converter.
