1   VW  uses an internal resistance coil...Vair uses external...so you've 
only got 6 -9 volts...

2   The current draw took all the juice from the coil....resistor "limits"  
current flow....thereby reducing voltage...


so...use a relay triggered by the coil....but fed from the battery...with the 
fuse..

PS  I hope it doesn't take as long to figure out this one out....ggggggg
