<VV> Gas tank

Thank you all for the many helpful ideas on my rusty gas tank. I have
started the repair of the tank and I have sent the sending unit to a
vendor for rebuilding. I have many sub -assemblies to work on while this
work is being done. 
Looking ahead a bit, I will need to do some metal repair on the box beam
"frame" under the load bed. Anyone know what gauge of metal I would get
to match the thickness of what was originally there?
