Were the Ladas never sold in the U.S.? Tons of them (still) here in Winnipeg. The little 4x4 is called a Niva.

ps - is not Canada part of North America, and thus has many Ladas which are registered in America? For clarity perhaps you should refer to Pete's Lada as "registered in U.S."......

You should ask Caveman Pete how he became the owner of the only Lada that is 
registerred in America.

A Russian built 4X4. Rumor has it that it came free with a bottle of Stohle.

I am not sure if he still owns it.
