<VV> Newbie Q: 65-69 suspension on 60-63?

Hi all,

Just picked up a fondness for corvairs and I'm in the first stages of looking for a '62-64 convertible.  But, I really like the idea of the '65+ suspension setup.  A friend has a '63 with a '64 engine and suspension, but haven't been able to figure out if it's possible to put a 65+ suspension on a 'boxy' corvair.  Anyone heard of that?  

Would it require a complete engine and tranny swap?  That may not be a bad thing since there is a local (Spokane, WA) 62 that I really like - except I'm wanting a little more juice than that 95hp 3sp it has...
