I'll start and I'm sure others will add..
Antiseize is generally required where the bolt and thread are the same or
similar material - to prevent galling. Locktite is typically used where you
don't want a bolt to come loose and you have no other locking feature. Any
time you are installing steel bolts into aluminum threads you must be
careful as the aluminum threads are much softer than the steel bolt. Don't
install/remove bolts with the engine hot since the CTE (coefficient of
thermal expansion) is much greater for aluminum and the threads will be
distorted relative to the steel and will likely come out with the bolt.
