..I chose to mount my "rattler'' toward the rear,on the rear x-member inboard of the boxed unibody frame..it's low enough to always be 'primed',spliced in the (new) existing gas line...I can hear it before I start the engine faintly, but after that--nothing..I wanted to relieve the 'congestion ' up front ::inside the tunnel was a definite NO,with the heat duct, wires, cables and brake lines...in the rear,it's protected, and could be further shielded with a flap of plastic jug ,held by sheetmetal screws..it's easily accessible, just take the left-rear wheel off,and it's right there, just like doing the starter;;I ran the wires in thru the rear seat/floor heat outlet hole, under the carpet between the seats, and to the dash (or where ever you want to put your hidden theft-deterent switch)...It's wired to 'stand alone',with it's own power/ground, not connected to the stock harness/fusebox or affected by old, corroded harness plugs or rubbed-thru harness issues the cars have..a 'quick-jack'thief
won't get far with it before bailing in frustration ,either...Tom Z
