I mounted mine behind the cross support just behind the fuel tank and attach 
it to the fuel line that runs into the tunnel.  I also install a fuel filter 
in the line just out side of the fire wall next to the wheel well then run a 
steel line through the fire wall and make custom lines to the carbs from the 
firewall side.  Makes a really clean installation.
