Hi everybody,
Below and forwarded to you is an e-mail exchange regarding a '60 Corvair
that needs a new home. I was planning to run an announcement about it in
the Rear Engine Review, but after reading the last message from Rebecca, I
realized that that would not do. So, I'm sending this to as many folks as I
can that I think might be interested, or that might know somebody that is.
Dave

I have to have the car out of here by the 20th of this month so I don't
think that your newsletter is going to help me. Anyway, just in case you
know someone. If I don't find someone to take it pull-n-save will take it
or possibly the community college. I was hoping to give it to someone who
would restore it. I was a daily driver for me for 2 yrs until my dad
started doing the body work. There are still a few dents in it. The
electrical system has been rebuilt as well as the gas heater. It all works
and is drivable except it needs a battery. The tires are flat so I think
new rims and wheels would be in order. I had put new tires on it but they
never seemed to hold air. It is an auto trans. The car needs a paint job.
It could be fully restored or could be used for parts. I have had some
things redone on it and repairs made. I had intended to restore it but
don't have the time. I am moving out of state and can't keep it. My name
is Rebecca and my phone number is 509-991-1970.

I think I already acknowledged receipt of your e-mail yesterday. But it
might help for when I go to put stuff in the news letter if you could tell
me a little more about the car. 2dr or 4dr? Auto or man transmission?
Does it run? Is it a "daily driver, a show or near show quality car, or
something more for parts, etc? We have somebody looking for a '60 3spd
manual transmission.
Thanks, Dave

Hi,
I am moving and need to find a home for my 1960 Corvair 700. I was
wondering if you would know of anyone who would be interested in it. Could
you please email or call me 509-991-1970 and let me know. Thanks, Rebecca
