Hell, I was at Sears Point watching the NASCAR race quiet a few years ago
when Mark Martin had a couple of wheels come loose (read off) and his car
flipped and landed on the two tires which were still attached to the
car and the two brake rotors. It was a little mix up in pit strategy,
part of the team thought it was a four tire stop and Mark and the rest of
the team thought it was a two tire stop. The air wrench guys changed the
right side tires 9could have been the left) ran around to the other side of
the car and removed the lug nuts, when the jackman dropped the right side,
Mark drove away and made it to the end of pit road before he flipped. If
Mark can have wheels come of, it can happen to the best of us.
