BOY! glad you're a parts specialist......not tech! ggggg
The points CONTROL the timing within approx. 20 deg.!!!! The closer the
GAP...the SOONER they open...
YOU most likely adjust the NEW points per some book? 0.019"???? the old
points were almost closed! right?
Bring the gap DOWN to 0.015" and see if that stalling problem goes away!
12-16 BTDC is a good area to run in!
Remember; to TIME your distributor.....adjust points [gap / dwell] FIRST
then set initial timing! If you ever re-adjust points....just remember what
you originally set them at! Timing will return to original setting!
