Smitty says: Steven don't fail to check the oil cap.  It has fooled a lot
of people.  An ancient tech tip says to use a kids white sock over the
cap and fill pipe.  Wire it on so the fan can't eat it  Run the car on
the road for a while and if the sock is brown you got a problem.  If it
is white you be OK.  My wife refused to give me any more children since
she had her last one 50 years ago so I had to resort to a white rag to do
this.  I wouldn't want to gurantee the rag method, but it worked for me. 
And yes it was blowing oil all over the back of the engine on the
highway.  Without the rag.
