The position of your power train has not changed as much as you might think.
When the weight is applied to the new motor mount, the mount deflects
downward somewhat. And if you take your power train off this mount a year
from now, the mount will NOT return to the position it was in the first time
you hooked it up. You're dealing as much with a new-rubber phenomenon as
with anything else. But that new rubber is most of the point, after all.

Amazing how much a motor drops with a bad mount. The mount was bad when I
got the car, the center of the mount was lower the the highest point on each
side. Installed a new mount and couldn't believe how much I had to raise the
motor to get it to fit. How much, if at all, does a bad mount effect rear
wheel alignment?
