I also wonder about the color, which appears too dark
for a cream and too light for a gold or bronze. This
could come from the ambient light. Anybody know what
color this all-original, like-new car really is?

Chuck - - -The exterior color is Sierra Tan with a red interior.
I used to own this car and had it judged in Concours at Chicago. It scored
around 90 points. The judging in every catagory but the underside had it
scored in the Seniors division. It was judged severely on the underside and I
think unfairly so, for an original car. The Concours Chairman admitted to me
privately that it was judged quite "harshly" on the bottom. In my judgement it
is about a 95-96 point car.
The drivetrain is all original and the car drives out like new.
I talked to the seller recently who bought the car from me and he was selling
it because "it is just to nice to just go out and put miles on it".
Many of you have seen this car and it is really unique with Sierra Tan
exterior and a Red interior.
It is the nicest, all original Corvair, I have ever owned - - - -Dick Shank
