Hey guys,
I have 3 transmission bearings, NOS Delco "New Departure Hyatt", the GM part
number is
# 907930
and the actual bearing number is
# 47207CUI
I'm not sure if the last digit in that is an "I" or the number "1"... as it
appears on 2 of the 3 boxes. Two of the boxes are the old brown-white-black
combo, while the newest one is early 70s red-white-blue color scheme.
The P&A 30C says it is a "transmission main drive gear bearing" group# 4.355
and fits:
1965-1969 Corvair, FC (exc. P.G.)
1964 Corvair, FC w/4-spd .................... single row with snap ring....
ONE of the bearings does NOT have the snap ring.
Clark's says it's discontinued, and has a "aftermarket" bearing to use in
it's place... and the replacement bearing is priced at $51.75...
Since I have 3 of them I'm gonna let my buddies here have first crack at them.
The one without the snap ring will be $45 (shipping included in USA) and the
ones with the snap ring will be $50 each (shipping included). I'll take a
personal check from anyone on here that I recognize (or a postal money order from
the lurkers)... but it is a first come, first served... maybe I could get more
if I offered them on eBay, maybe not, but I think $50 is a great price on a
hard to find, possibly "Corvair specific" part... and knowing all the gearheads
here that like to keep spares, I figured this is a good place to start.
Let me know... you can buy as many or as few as you want or need!
;-)
Thanks for the time!
