Oh they'll survive. The "it takes a village" crowd will see to it
that they not only survive, but will be told that it's not their
fault they're SNAFU, but that it's OUR fault for not being "understanding".
I'll stick with my own viewpoints and keep twisting wrenches on
those Corvairs... which will daily remind me of the times when
personal responsibility and backyard ingenuity were necessary in
order to remain a functioning member of society. The Vairs here in
this fleet are not only a means of getting to and from places,
they're an expression of independence and nostalgia, of a time gone
by which may be gone but certainly NOT forgotten, at least not around
here in MY camp.

Yes. Some of them make the news daily. The others that do not
are quietly smiled upon by the likes of myself, knowing that their
life will be spent making minimum wage while wearing a cardboard slip
with their name on it in a plastic pin-on tag covering the grease
stain on their shirt pocket, as they accumulate a fistful of W-2
forms from all the places they worked that year, come
tax-time... those who actually file/pay taxes.
Interestingly, I never ever see these sorts driving a Corvair. This
is good.
