Note to self:
It takes about 3 1/2 minutes running without oil cap to spread 3 1/2 quarts
of oil into a previously dry engine compartment and lower engine. It takes
about 3 1/2 hours and about 3 1/2 cans of various cleaning agents to remove it.
Fun part: Idling at an intersection with smoke wafting out of the engine
area reminded me of my misspent youth...

I have a 1980 850 yamaha (3 cylinder) street bike.
Air cooled, cylinder count is a factor of 6, not 2,4,5, or 8, and there is an oil leak that drips on the exhaust. Sitting at stop lights after a hard run the subtle aroma of oil takes me WAY back.
That, plus this list, are responsible for recent increasingly frequent feelings heading unmistakeably toward resurrecting or replacing the Turbo-140 Corsa sitting in the woods since 1978
