<VV> Engine Compartment Weather Strips

I'm confused...There seem to be two types of weatherstrips available out there for the rear of the '64 engine compartment...One with the small retainer clips that is designed to be mounted on the lid, and another longer one that is designed to be mounted on the deck...The deck mount is longer and goes about a fourth of the way up the sides of the compartment...Is there a way to determine which would be correct? Thanks!
