Cliff,
That decision would be based entirely (in my opinion) on what you intended to 
do with your car. You didn't tell us THAT! 

If you are into racing, drags, performance, hot rodding, etc. etc., then YES 
do so. But if this is just a daily driver or show car or (well you get the 
idea), then it's not desirable or preferable. 

It's not difficult to do, but you must disassemble the diff.
