<VV> Smitty in Oregon-Corvair SW & Trailer

I talked to Smitty tonight. It is 104 F where he is east of the mountains in 
OR.  About 300 or so miles to go. He'll then head to the coast to visit 
relatives and come back for the convention.  Says it has been too darn hot 
and going up the hills in the heat with the hot rarified higher altitude air 
has been tough on the wagon, but she is chugging along.  And tough on him 
and Helen.

Hope the weather cools off for the rest of his trip and for the return to 
Virginia.
