It's called Free Enterprise.  If he can get thousands, he'll get 
thousands.  If he can't, he'll either quit trying or lower his price until 
he finds the magic value.  More power to 'im.

I know a gal who decided that eBay brokering would be her path to financial 
independence.  She was so proud of the $5000 piano she sold for her first 
client on eBay.  What she didn't realize was that it required knowledge of 
the product.  When the buyer received the piano all the way across the 
country, for which there was a hefty shipping fee, he discovered that there 
had been a slight misrepresentation of the product.  It seems the piano in 
one year had a particular feature that the piano of the previous year did 
not have.  She had listed it with the wrong year, and the buyer refused to 
take the piano.  She had to eat the shipping, which cost her much more than 
the commission.  She now has a "day job" again.
