Actually, these do look somewhat like a 911 fan. Now I am getting a clearer  
picture, so to speak. Thanks for the links! 
What does the shroud look like for this fan?

I  think the plans I saw (and that we assembled parts for) had the fan 
overdriven  with something like a 3"-3.5" pulley.
