It's worse than that. Silicone fluids lack the lubricity for the ABS pump.  
The use if silicone fluid WILL destroy an ABS unit.

As I understand it,  ABS systems that are calibrated for gycol fluids don't 
work correctly due to  the added compressibility of the silicone fluid.
