What number Bosch??  They are the most widely used plugs  AFAIN   Are you 
sure they weren't EXTENDED tip  3/4"  reach plugs??  That will LOCK up a Corvair  
every time! [ correct plug for 230-250  INLINE  Chevy 6!!   Common mistake!]

OR  do you mean   the engine would spin during cranking..but wouldn't ignite? 
[start]???


You said, "the car wouldn't turn over"........Man....Most of us are GLAD  the 
CAR  doesn't turnover!!   LOL
