I've had 1 or 2 rockers fail. They started as chirp----chirp----chirp since each rocker.
If the squeal is more or less constant I'd suspect an exhaust or even intake leak playing a gasket like a saxophone reed, or puffing over/through a tiny hole like a flute or whistle.
If it's an exhaust thing A shop rag stuffed hard over the exhaust outlet should change the sound and even eventually shut off the engine with a tight system.
