Joe,

I installed an NOS GM one in my vert this past summer.  That is exactly the 
way it acts.  The previous one sent the needle over to the temp/press light 
when full, but was exact at the bottom end.  I did not know there was a way 
to calibrate them - other than be sure that you have the correct one for EM 
vs LM.

It is somewhat comforting to know that when the needle reaches E, I have 
about 80 miles left in the tank.

Attachments (if any) are scanned with anti-virus software.
