In the latest issue of Hemmings Classic Car they list what they say are
the most beautiful American cars of the 20th century. As you might
expect, most are high dollar luxury cars. However they followed with a
listing of other "noteworthy designs of beauty" and the '65 Corvair
coupe made the list!
This is some of what they said: "The hardtop sport coupe refined the
original Corvair's distinctive look, turning it into an incredibly
handsome, beautifully proportioned car." To paraphrase what they wrote,
lates are better looking than earlies :o).
Also, in the same issue they listed reader nominations for the same
designation and John Daily, of Bountiful Utah, named the late model
Corvair four door as his favorite.
