Rod,having 2 daughters myself,i'd suggest giving 'no option' but a manual trans.It'll reinforce the dual-direction of the throttle,automatics are too tempting to just "go"(faster).As for specific vehicle,the '87-93 s10 blazer/jimmy with the underpowered 2.8 would be a good choice: inexpensive,popular,roomy,full-frame,good visibility and reasonably comfortable..not bad to work on,always a market for them,and can be 'customized' with add-ons.Insurance is cheep,too.Whatever she starts with,tho,WILL bet banged up...yeah,I fixed it,she's ok..Tom
