<VV> in early country

Hi Mark and Timothy,
I had heard about this for some time, but just now tried it. The suggestion was to use a 79 VW BUS perimeter seal for an Early engine perimeter seal. I tried it and WOW, how cool! This is an "H" shaped foam extrusion that replaces the stock Early perimeter seal. If you have ever replaced an Early seal, you know how much work that is. The wire staples are difficult to replace like stock, although either wire ties or rivets work fine. Then there are all those screws holding on the lower retainers. To use the VW bus seal, you can simply cut all the old seal out, without even bothering to remove the staples, if you prefer. Cut the new seal to length and press it into place. The length is PERFECT! Not an inch too long or short. It goes in perfectly and seals better than the stock one, in my opinion. This tip will not work for anyone wanting stock appearance, but fine for everyone else.
