I think this is a question of year. I have a '65 that has headrest, 
which I am assuming are original. I think I was the third owner, and the 
car does have a tonneau cover, which I have been assured was not an 
option, so the headrests MAY have also been after market add-ons.

I had 2 other '65 without headrests. I am fairly sure that some of the 
later corvairs had stock headrests.
