You can also load up the crankcase with gas if you are virtually always
running on the chokes.  Lots of short trips and no lower shrouds, as an
example.

So, that sounds exactly like your situation.

Either warm up the car before you leave OR drive a different car.  Best is
probably - take a 10 mile trip on the way home on roads where you can open
up the throttle a bit.  Get it warm enough that you come off the chokes and
burn the gasoline OUT of the crankcase.
